  • 1 C. rolled oats
  • 3/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 8-10 T. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 C. granulated sugar
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • 10 plums, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Take out a medium bowl and combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until thoroughly blended. Transfer the melted butter into the flour-oats mixture. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together until they begin to topping appears to be clumping together. Take out another bowl and mix together the sugar, cornstarch, plums, orange zest, and vanilla. Carefully use a rubber spatula to fold the ingredients together and keep doing so until thoroughly combined. Take out a 9-inch square baking dish and evenly spread the plum mixture inside of it.
