Seasonal Gingerbread Cupcakes

- 1 box of Spice Cake Mix
- 1 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 12 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 C. unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 lb. powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 Tbs. brown sugar
- 1/2 Tbs. almond extract
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
To create the frosting combine all the ingredients and whip them together. Once you have a fluffy consistency set a side for the cooled cupcakes.
To make the cupcakes start by following the instructions listed on the bake of cake box. Then stir the ground ginger into the batter, and fill your cupcake liners. When the cupcakes have cooled, frost them.
