Sesame Italian Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Crisco
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 C. sugar
- 3 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 5 C. flour (add one more if needed)
- 1 pinch salt
- sesame seeds
Directions
Mix all dry ingredients. Cut in the Crisco. Blend in eggs one at a time. Knead dough until smooth. For each cookie, shape rounded tablespoon of dough into an oval, roll in sesame seeds, coating completely. Place on cookie sheet. Bake in 400-degree oven for approximately 15 minutes (depending on your oven). These will keep in air-tight container for approx. 2 weeks. Recipe can be cut in half.
