After you spread your warm cream cheese on the toasted hot dog bun, everything will become extra creamy and gooey as you get ready to take your first bite. Ingredients

  • 1/4 C butter
  • 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 4 pork sausages, cooked or grilled
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked
  • 4 green jalapeƱo peppers, sliced
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • Brown mustard, as needed

Directions

Preheat grill or grill pan for medium to high heat. Melt butter in a skillet. Add onions and cook until softened and they reach a deep brown color, about 15 minutes.

Warm the cream cheese over low heat in a small skillet until very soft.

Grill sausages until well browned. Lightly grill hot dog buns on both sides.

Spread warm cream cheese on toasted hot dog bun. Add sausage and top with onions, bacon, green jalapeƱo peppers and brown mustard.
