  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbs. soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 C. sirloin steak, cut into small pieces
  • 2 C. instant white rice
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 C. fresh asparagus, cut into 1" pieces
  • 4 Tbs. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce

In a large bowl, mix cornstarch and sesame oil with sirloin steak. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, place rice with just enough water to cover. Steam for 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove rice from skillet. Let it cool before serving. Heat a large skillet with sesame oil. Add onion and garlic. Stir fry for 2 minutes. Add beef chunks. Cook for 5 minutes or until pinkness in beef disappears. Add asparagus and stir fry for 1 minute. In a small bowl, mix the sauces and pour in stir fry. Mix well and cover to cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Serve over steamed rice.
