Shredded Turkey Breast

My family loves turkey and I wanted something easy. We serve it as a meal and then shred what is left and make sandwiches with it. It is very moist and tender.

Ingredients

  • 1 turkey breast
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped fine
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 C. water

Directions

Put breasts into crockpot with the cavity up, put stick of butter or margarine into cavitiy. Sprinkle on dry soup mix, put in celery, add water and cover with lid. Cook on lowfor  6-8 hours or on high for 4-6 hours untill tender. Remove and let rest for 15 minutes then slice and serve, or shred and add back to broth to serve as sandwiches.
