Asparagus are delicious, and even more flavorful when given a hint of lemon juice. Try this recipe out as a side dish for your next dinner party!

  • 1 lb. asparagus
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp.salt
  • 1/8 tsp.pepper
  • 1 lemon, zested and halved
  • 1 oz.butter

Cut the ends off of the asparagus. 

Heat the olive oil in a large pan until shimmering and about to smoke. Add the asparagus in a single layer and salt and pepper liberally. Sear over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Turn often. 

The asparagus is done when easily pierced with a fork. 

Remove the asparagus from the pan and onto a serving dish. Squeeze lemon juice liberally over it and place dabs of butter over the spears. Serve immediately.
