  • 1 C. hot sauce
  • 1/2 C. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 24 chicken wing pieces
  • 8 C. vegetable oil

In a small saucepan, stir together hot sauce, oil, sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne, and Worcestershire. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and let simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. In a small bowl, combine yolk, water, and cornstarch. Whisk into cooled sauce until well combined. Heat oil until hot in a large frying pan. Add wing pieces and cook until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined rack to drain grease. Serve with sauce.
