Simple Chocolate Cake

- 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate icing
- Vanilla shavings
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in an 8-inch square baking pan.
Now, pour water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla over mixture in the pan.
Mix well and smooth out batter.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until cake is done in the middle.
Frost cake with chocolate icing and sprinkle vanilla shavings on top.
