  • 2 T. unsalted butter
  • 2 Vidalia onions diced fine
  • 2 lb. sauerkraut
  • 1 tsp. dried dill
  • Your favorite variation of sausage
  • ¼ C. ketchup
  • 3 T. garlic powder
  • 3 T. fresh ground black pepper

Sauté onions with butter in a skillet, onions should be caramelized. Drain sauerkraut and put in the crockpot. Fold in the remaining ingredients except for the sausage, mix well. Slice the sausage into bite size pieces and stir into the sauerkraut mixture. Cook on low for 7-9 hours, stir well before serving.
