  • Question: could a pkg. of cornbread mix be substitued for the corn meal. I don't have corn meal on hand?

  • I buy Tone's Taco Seasoning which is in a large container and use 1/2 cup but 1 package of Taco Seasoning can be substituted.

  • I have several Bisquick Cookboods with similar recipes and they all call for the dry packaged Taco Seasoning. Perhaps the "1/2 C" Taco Seasoning is an error and should be 1 Packet? I'm using dry seasoning for this recipe, too.

  • I have a ultimate bisquick book, and it has a recipe for a turkey cornbread tostada. it calls for 1 pkg (1.25 oz) taco seasoning, that would be my guess what it is, i think that would taste better than taco sauce in the hamburger meat..let me know, hope i could help

  • I took the 1/2 cup taco seasoning to be 1/2 cup taco sauce in the bottle.

  • I agree with Karina...the 1/2 c of taco
    seasoning just doesn't sound right
    to me...But, like Karina, I haven't
    tried the recipe yet.

  • the 1/2 c of taco seasoning sounds questionable to me. I haven't yet tried this recipe but that line sets off alarms to me
