  • 12 leaves cabbage
  • 1 C. white rice, cooked
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 C. milk
  • 1/4 C. onion, minced
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbs. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Boil a large pot of water on the stove and add in the cabbage leaves. Boil for 2 minutes, then drain. In a large bowl, combine the rice, egg, milk, onion, ground beef, salt and pepper. Put 1/4 C. meat mixture into the center of each cabbage leaf, roll it up, and tuck in the ends. Place the rolls in the crockpot. In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the sauce over the rolls, cover the crockpot, and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours.
