Serving Size / Yield
- 1-2 lb. ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
- 3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded/chopped
- 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
- hamburger buns or baked russet potatoes
In a large skillet, brown the ground meat. Drain or rinse the grease off. Add the seeded/chopped peppers to the cooked meat and continue to brown, stirring, for 3-4 minutes. Add the BBQ sauce, stir well. Cover and heat on low for about 10-15 minutes, depending on how done you want your peppers. Spoon onto hamburger buns or onto a split baked potato and dig in.
HINT: Wear disposable vinyl or latex gloves while handling peppers. This reduces the chances of you injuring your eyes or other sensitive areas as the pepper juice will stay on your skin for hours.
