  • 3 Tbs. Sweet Paprika
  • 1 Tbs. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbs. Dry Mustard
  • 3 Tbs. Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tbs. Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 C. + 1 Tbs. Brown Sugar, divided
  • 4 lb. Pork Spareribs, trimmed
  • 1/2 C. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 C. Ketchup

In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, dry mustard, salt, pepper, and 1 Tbs. of brown sugar. Rub the seasoning mix into all sides of the ribs. Let spareribs sit for ten minutes. Layer spareribs on the bottom of a large slow cooker, breaking them apart if necessary to fit. In a medium bowl, stir together the remaining brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and ketchup. Pour the sauce over the spareribs. Cook on low for 8 hours or until a meat thermometer registers the ribs' internal temperature at 145 degrees. Remove spareribs from slow cooker. Pour sauce into a cup. Drain off any fat before pouring the sauce over the ribs and serving.
