Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. all-purpose flour
  • 2 lbs. beef cubes
  • 2 C beef stock
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 large onions, halved and sliced
  • 1 lb. white button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. pasta
  • Parsley, for garnish

Directions

Sprinkle flour onto the beef cubes. Add olive oil to a deep skillet over high heat and melt butter. Once ready, add the beef and cook until browned on both sides, about 4 minutes. Place beef in crockpot.

In skillet, warm beef stock, salt and black pepper. Add mixture, onion, mushroom and garlic to the slow cooker pot with the beef.

Cook on High until the beef is tender, about 5 to 6 hours.

Cook pasta according to box instructions. Drain and top pasta with the beef sauce.
