  • 8 C. apple cider
  • 1 C. caramel flavoring syrup
  • 1/4 C. lemon juice
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 Tbs. whole allspice

In a slow cooker, combine the apple cider, syrup, and lemon juice. Split the vanilla bean and scrape the seeds into the slow cooker. Put the bean, cinnamon sticks, and allspice on a double layer of cheesecloth. Tie to form a bag and add to the cider mixture. Cover and cook on low or 2 to 3 hours. Discard the spice bags and pour the cider into mugs.
