Hawaii is easier to reach than ever with this tropical steak recipe. This dish is simple to make in a crockpot and produces wonderfully tender steak.

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb Flank Steak
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 Medium Onion, sliced
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • ⅔ cup Pineapple Juice
  • ⅓ cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Tabasco
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Directions

Sear flank steak and sautee onion--slowly--in olive oil in large skillet until browned on both sides. Add onion and garlic to skillet. In a separate bowl, mix pineapple juice, soy sauce, tabasco, honey, salt and pepper together. Place steak and onions in crockpot. Layer mixed sauce over steak and cook on high heat for 3-4 hours.
