Slow-Cooked Pork Roast With Apples
Serving Size / Yield
- 3 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 pork shoulder roast
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 4 C apple juice
- 1 C beef stock
- 3 apples, cored, cut into wedges
- 3 onions, sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- Green beans, as needed
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Season pork roast with salt and pepper.
Place in a large baking pot with apple juice, beef stock, apples, onions and bay leaf.
Bake for 3 hours, or until done.
Grill or boil green beans when roast is almost finished.
Remove bay leaf from roast and serve pork with apples and green beans warm.
