Slow Cooker Chicken Burritos
Serving Size / Yield
- 4-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 16-oz. jar Picante Sauce (i.e. Pace)
- 1 envelope Taco seasoning
- 8-12 tortillas
- Topping suggestions:
- sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, sliced ripe olives, hot sauce, hot peppers, tomatoes, etc.
Put the chicken breasts and Picante sauce in slow cooker on low for 8-12 hours. When done, mash chicken down with potato masher or something similar. The chicken will fall apart. After it's all shredded, add envelope of taco seasoning and stir well. Put cooker on high and cook for another 30 minutes. Serve on warm tortillas with refried beans and Mexican rice on the side. The chicken mixture also freezes well.
