  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1/3 C. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • ½ tsp. dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp. dried basil
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped cilantro

Coat the chicken in flour and heat oil in a skillet. Cook the chicken 15 minutes until brown on all sides. Place the chicken in a slow cooker and add the remaining ingredients. Stir well cover. Cook on low for 4 hours until the chicken is 170 degrees internally. Serve with marinara or freeze and reheat later.
