  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 pound cod fillets, cut into 1-inch strips
  • Butter-flavored cooking spray

In a shallow mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs and seasonings. Then place the flour and egg in separate shallow bowls. Dip fish in the flour to coat both sides,  Be sure to shake off any excess coating. Dip in egg, then in crumb mixture, patting to help coating. Set you slow-cooker on high and place the fish stick in.  Cook for about 2 hours.  The fish sticks will be flakey and tender.
