  • 1 1/3 C. warm water
  • 1 T/ active dry yeast
  • 3 T. honey
  • 3 ½ C. flour
  • Dash salt
  • ½ stick butter, softened
  • ½ C. sugar
  • ¼ C. brown sugar
  • 1 ½ T. cinnamon

In a mixing bowl, combine water, yeast, and honey. Use a dough hook, or your hands, to stir and combine. Set aside to rest and foam for about five minutes. Add in flour and salt; mix on low until ingredients evenly combine. Cover and let rise for 10 to 15 minutes. Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread butter along the dough and sprinkle a combination of sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon onto the butter. Roll dough up and cut into 10 to 12 slices. In your crockpot lined with parchment paper, add cinnamon rolls, and cook on high for 1 ½ to 2 hours. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with your favorite simple frosting or a drizzle of honey.
