Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/3 C. warm water
  • 1 Tbs. active dry yeast
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 C. rye flour
  • 2 Tbs. molasses
  • 2 Tbs. cooking oil
  • 2 Tbs. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbs. caraway seeds

Directions

Stir sugar with warm water in large bowl and sprinkle yeast on top. Let stand for 10 minutes then stir to dissolve yeast. Add in remaining ingredients. Beat on low and then beat on high for 2 minutes. Stir in 1 additional C. rye flour. Grease bottom of slow cooker. Place dough into cooker. Place paper towels on top. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.
