These little hot dogs are a classic party appetizer. Paired with smoked BBQ sauce, these will be a popular snack.

  • 1 C. ketchup
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1/4 C. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbs. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 Tbs. maple syrup
  • 1/2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • dash salt and pepper
  • 1-2 packages smoked cocktail weenies

In a saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil, stirring well to make sure sugars are dissolved. Bring down to a simmer and stir occasionally for 20 minutes. Place the cocktail weenies in the crockpot and set on high.  Spread the bbq sauce over the top of the weenies.  Cook for about 1 - 1/2 hour.  Serve up and enjoy.
