Don't make brownies in the oven when you can use the slow cooker instead! Mix chocolate chips and walnuts into the batter before cooking.

  • 1 1/4 C. flour
  • 1/4 C. cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 C. butter, chopped
  • 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 C. walnut halves, coarsely chopped
  • 1 C. semisweet chocolate chips

Line a slow cooker with parchment paper and coat it with cooking spray. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl. Microwave the butter and chocolate while stirring until smooth. Add the sugar and eggs and stir until well combined. Add the dry ingredients, walnuts, and chocolate chips to the wet mixture and stir until moistened. Transfer to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 3 1/2 hours. Uncover and cook another 30 minutes and remove the brownies. Let them cool 1 hour before cutting and serving.
