Smoked Pork Shoulder

This recipe has fantastic flavoring from potatoes, onions and sauerkraut seasoned with caraway seeds, paprika and raisins.

  • 1/2 to 2 1/2 lb. smoked pork shoulder roll butt
  • 1 16 oz. pkg. sauerkraut, drained
  • 3 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1/2 C. raisins
  • 3 Tbs. flour
  • 1 tsp. caraway seeds
  • Pinch paprika
  • Pinch black pepper

Layer sauerkraut on the bottom, then potatoes and onions in crockpot. Combine raisins, flour, paprika and pepper and sprinkle over onions. Cut shoulder in half lengthwise and place on top. Cook on high for 4 hours.
