So Easy Scalloped Apples

A fast, easy, microwave-only dessert.

  • 10 C. sliced peeled tart apples (about 8 medium)
  • 1/3 C. sugar (I use Splenda)
  • 2 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 2 Tbs. butter or margarine; cubed

Place apples in 2-1/2 qt. microwave-safe bowl. Combine the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg; sprinkle over apples and toss to coat. Dot with butter. Cover and microwave on high for 15 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring every 5 minutes.
