  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 C. apple butter
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 1/4 C. maple syrup
  • 3 T. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 3/4 tsp. cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch of ground nutmeg

Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the apple butter, sugar, maple syrup, and milk together until well blended, then add the vanilla and dry ingredients. Mix everything together until well combined. In a small bowl, mix together the 1/4 C. sugar, ginger, cardamom, 1/4 tsp cinnamon and the nutmeg. Roll the dough into small balls, then roll the balls through the sugar mixture. Place the sugared dough onto a lined baking sheet, then bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
