Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
  • 1 C. sour cream
  • 1/2 C. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 8 sandwich buns
  • 4 oz. lettuce, if desired

Directions

Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Mix all ingredients except buns and lettuce. Shape mixture into 8 patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Cover and grill patties 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 10 to 15 minutes, turning once, until patties are no longer pink in center and juice is clear. Serve with lettuce in buns.

Makes 8 sandwiches.
