Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 C. chopped onion
  • 1 16 oz. can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1 C. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 1/2 C. corn chips
  • 1 1/4 C. sour cream

Directions

Cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender; drain. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, taco seasoning mix and 3/4 C. cheese. Sprinkle 2 1/2 C. corn chips in bottom of 8-inch square baking dish. Cover with beef mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Spread sour cream over chili. Top with remaining corn chips and cheese. Bake 3-4 minutes longer.

Yield: 6-8 servings
