Sour Cream Raisin Cream Pie

This pie may not sound appetizing but many people swear by it.

  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 3 eggs separated
  • 1 1/2 C. sour cream
  • 1/4 C. raisins or bananas

In a sauce pan, stir together 2/3 C. sugar, cornstarch and salt. Beat egg yolks and stir into sugar mixture. Add sour cream and cook stirring constantly over low heat till thick. Beat egg whites until fluffy and add 1/3 C. sugar. Pour heated mixture into a pre cooked pie shell. Top with egg whites. Bake 12-15 minutes.
