  • 3/4 C. sourdough starter
  • 2 C. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 C. buttermilk
  • 4 Tbs. butter, melted and divided
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 C. onions, chopped

Preheat oven at 450 degrees F. Bring sourdough starter to room temperature. Mix starter, flour and buttermilk. Turn dough on a lightly floured surface. Knead 10 times. Roll to a 12-inch square. Brush with 3 Tbs. butter. Mix salt and onions. Sprinkle over dough. Roll up and seal seam. Slice into 12 peices. Place. Cut side down in a greased 9-by-9-by-2-inch baking pan. Brush with remaining melted butter. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
