Spaghetti Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 C. chopped onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 C. oil
- 12 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 4 tsp. leaf basil
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 C. water
- 2 envelopes instant beef broth or 2 cubes
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 Tbs. oregano
- 1 large can tomato paste
Directions
Sauté onion and garlic; add remaining ingredients. Simmer 1 hour or so depending on thickness desired. Sauce may be canned or frozen. When serving, add chopped mushrooms.
