  • 2 slices bacon (optional)
  • ½ C. chopped onion
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (1 lb. 12 oz. can) tomatoes, cut up
  • ½ C. chopped green pepper
  • ¼ C. chili sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Dash pepper
  • 3 C. noodles (or any type of macaroni)

In large skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove from skillet & drain on paper towel. Crumble & set aside. Add onion to bacon drippings in skillet; cook until tender but not brown. Add meat; cook until browned. Stir in tomatoes, green pepper, chili sauce, salt, and a dash of pepper. Add the uncooked noodles. Cook, covered, over low heat for 30 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring frequently. Stir in bacon.
