Seasoned tomatoes and onions flavor this pan-fried steak.

  • 1/4 C. flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 lbs. round steak
  • 3 Tbs. oil
  • 1/4 C. chopped onion
  • 2 cans tomato sauce, mixed with 1 Tbs. chili powder
  • 1 can Mexican seasoned tomatoes

Pound steak. Mix flour, salt and pepper together. Pound flour mixture into steak. Heat oil in skillet, place floured steak in hot oil and brown quickly on both sides. Spread onion on top of steak, pour tomato sauce and Mexican tomatoes over steak. Bring to a boil, cover tightly, reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until steak is tender, about 1-1/2 hours. Serve on hot fluffy rice.
