  • 3 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 C. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • Chopped onion, to taste
  • 3 tbsp chopped scallions
  • 1/4 C. Ketchup
  • Sauce:
  • 1/4 oz. Ketchup
  • 3 oz. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 C. white vinegar
  • 3/4 C. brown sugar, packed

Begin by mixing all ingredients well.  Make into small ball shapes.  Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.  Remove to paper toweling to drain well and cool.  While the meatballs are cooling, make the sauce for them. For sauce, whisk ingredients well.  Place a small amount in bottom of crockpot just enough to cover bottom.  Place a row of meatballs in the crockpot on top of the sauce just put in.  Fill in all spaces in a single layer. Put sauce on the meatballs and continue again with a layer of meatballs, then more sauce, then more meatballs and finish off the top with the remaining sauce. Cook on Low 6-8 hours. Pair with some delicious egg noodles and enjoy.
