Ingredients
- 4 Tbs. butter
- 1 1/2 qts. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 C. instant polenta
- 1 C. grated parmesan
- 2 C. jarred sausage ragu
- 8 oz. mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/4-inch slices
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use 1 Tbs. butter to grease an 18x12-inch baking pan. In a large saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil over high heat. Stir polenta into boiling water in a slow steady stream. Reduce heat to medium and continue stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in remaining 3 Tbs. butter and 1/2 C. Parmesan.
Spread half of polenta into buttered baking pan. Top with half ragu. Sprinkle with 1/4 C. Parmesan and half of the mozzarella. Spread on remaining polenta and ragu and top with remaining mozzarella and 1/4 C. Parmesan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until heated through and golden.
