Ingredients
- 1/3 C. shortening
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 1 well-beaten egg
- 1/2 C. light molasses
- 1 3/4 C. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 C. sour milk or buttermilk
- cream cheese, softened
- raisins
Directions
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with sour milk. Fill greased cupcake pans half full. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Top with softened cream cheese. Decorate with raisins.
