  • ¾ C. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. ginger
  • ¼ tsp. cloves
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • Dash allspice
  • Dash salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 3 T. bourbon
  • 1 (9 in.) pie crust, unbaked

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, allspice, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and pumpkin puree until evenly mixed and smooth. Whisk in brown sugar and spice mixture and then pour in evaporated milk and bourbon. Mix well and transfer to your unbaked pie crust. Bake for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350 degrees, and bake for an additional 45 minutes until an inserted knife comes out clean. Let cool completely and refrigerate until ready to serve with fresh whipped cream.
