  • 1 3-lb. boneless pork roast
  • 1 clove garlic in slivers
  • 1 med. onions, sliced
  • 4 1/2 C. carrots, 1/2 inch slices
  • 2 Tbs. soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1 1/2 C. hot water

Start by making small slits in the roast and place garlic slivers in slits. Brown meat on all sides. Put half the carrots and onion slices in the bottom of the pot. Top with the pork. Put the rest of the carrots and onions on top of the roast. Heat water, spices and soy sauce on top of the stove. Pour over meat, carrots and onions. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then cook on low for 6 hours. Remove meat, carrots and onions and thicken gravy with 5 Tbs. of flour mixed with some water. Return meat, carrots and onions to crock pot until ready to serve. Serve up and enjoy.
