Spiced Pecan Crust

This rich crust is especially good with a chocolate-pecan pie recipe. For more special occasions, pecans halves can be pressed into the rim of the crust before baking.

Ingredients

  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 C. finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 C. margarine, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, pecans, sugar and cinnamon. Stir in margarine until well blended. Pat mixture into a lightly greased 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes in the preheated oven.

Yield: 8 servings
