  • 12 oz. dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/4 C. Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 1 C. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 10 slices American cheese, chopped
  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 C. skim milk
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • pinch nutmeg
  • pinch cayenne pepper, optional
  • paprika, optional, for garnish

Grease the crockpot and combine the macaroni, cheeses, evaporated milk, and skim milk. Stir well to combine, cover, and cook on low for 1 1/2 hours. Fold in the dry mustard, nutmeg, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 30 minutes on low.
