  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • ½ C. bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • Dash nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 C. beef broth

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, tomatoes, bread crumbs, eggs, nutmeg, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; roll into meatballs. In a skillet, heat oil and cook meatballs until browned on all sides. Transfer to a baking dish with beef broth and bake for 10 minutes.
