Spicy Beef & Beans

Ingredients
- 2 C. dry pinto beans
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 Tbs. chili powder
- 1 tsp. prepared minced garlic
- one 15-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 Tbs. salt
Directions
Place beans in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to boiling, then turn off heat and let stand for 1 hour. Drain and transfer beans to a large slow cooker. Add onion, chili powder, garlic, tomato sauce, salt, and 8 cups water. In a skillet, brown ground beef, drain, and transfer to cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or until beans are tender. Stir occasionally.
