Make some ramen noodles tonight for dinner. However, make them a new way. Spice them up by adding some gochujang sauce and by adding some savory and veggies.

  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 4 tablespoons gochujang sauce (store bought)
  • 2 tablespoons of thinly sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 3 teaspoons of sesame oil
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2 packages beef ramen, including the seasoning + 1½ cups water
  • ½ a white onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ a cup of sliced mushrooms, optional
  • Shredded seaweed, optional garnish

First, in a small bowl whisk together the gochujang, green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and sugar.
Next, drizzle the oil into a large pan and bring the pan to medium-high heat.
Then, add the onions, mushrooms, ramen noodles, ramen seasoning, and marinade from the bag to the pan. Pour water over the top of the noodles and bring it to a simmer. Allow the ramen to cook for 5-7 minutes until the noodles become tender and until they are cooked through all the way.
Add garnish with green onions if desired and serve immediately.
