The only thing better than a loaf of bread, is a loaf of bread made with delicious beer. This recipe is simple and quick to whip up. The loaf is soft and cheesy inside with a golden buttery crust. It’s so good, this bread can stand on its own.

  • 3 C. self-rising flour
  • ¼ C. granulated sugar
  • 1 C. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 (12oz.) beer
  • ½ stick butter, melted
  • 1 Tbs. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ C. cheddar, shredded
  • ½ jalapeno, sliced

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the beer and then fold in the cheese and jalapeno. Pour half of the melted butter into a pan and then the batter. Pour the remaining butter on top. Bake for 45 minutes until the read is nearly done. Top it with cheese and jalapeno and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the top is golden brown.
