  • 1 purple onion, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 red jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 T. garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 T. vegetable oil
  • 2 T. curry powder
  • 1/14 C. water
  • 1 lb. of chicken wings and thighs
  • salt

Combine the onion, garlic, jalapeno, garam masala, cumin, and cloves in a food processor to make a chunky paste.
Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the onion mixture, curry powder, and 1/4 cup water. Let it fry for about five minutes.
Add chicken pieces and salt to taste. Add three cups of water to cover, and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Serve hot.
