Spicy Onions for Grilled Steak
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, sliced into circles (as thin as possible)
- 1 1/2 C. flour
- 2 Tbs. Cajun-style seasoning
- Oil for frying
Directions
Heat the oil to 350 degrees. Mix the flour and Cajun seasoning in a large bowl. Slice the onion very thin (a mandolin-type slicer works well). Add the onion to the flour mixture and toss well. Place in the hot oil and fry until just starting to brown (separating often). Drain on paper towels. Serve warm over cooked steak.
