Spinach Salad

Add some crunch to your spinach salad by topping the spinach with bacon and water chestnuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh spinach
  • 2 hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/2 of 5 oz. can water chestnuts, sliced thin
  • 5 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Dressing
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 C. salad oil
  • 1/3 C. ketchup
  • 1/2 C. vinegar
  • 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion, grated

Directions

Wash, drain, and remove hard stems on spinach. Combine spinach with eggs, water chestnuts, and bacon. Mix together sugar, oil, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and onion and pour over spinach. Toss and serve.

Yield: 6 Servings.
