Spinach Salad with Dressing

This hearty salad with egg and bacon features a sweet vinaigrette dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag spinach
  • 1 (16 oz.) bean sprouts, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
  • 2 hard cooked eggs, chopped
  • 5 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • Dressing:
  • 1 C. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbs. A-1 sauce
  • ¼ C. vinegar
  • 1/3 C. catsup
  • ½ C. brown sugar
  • 1 onion, diced

Directions

Tear spinach into bite sized pieces and add remaining ingredients. For dressing: mix all ingredients together. Chill in refrigerator, and then pour over salad just before serving.

Yield 8 to 10 servings
